The main reason why people prefer SUVs over Sedans is that Space is an important factor. SUVs don’t tend to break down and check all the boxes for a high-ground clearance car with a powerful Engine which tends to be more durable and below its class. The toughness of an SUV not only comes from its body but Chassy of an SUV also plays an important role whether it’s a monocoque or Ladder frame. Choosing the right chassis by a manufacturer is as important as choosing the right sheet metal for the body. The toughness of an SUV starts right from the chassis, Sheet metal (Body Structure), rigidness and also prone to breakdown.
Versatility
A Dream car that can climb mountains with ease and can be driven through cross-rivers. A can that can be driven through the rainforest or can sail through the desert without any specific modifications is called an SUV. An SUV has various advantages over Sedans but SUV comes at a cost. An SUV is more expensive than its rivals but at the same time offers more Space, Off-roading capability, and Toughness as compared to a Sedan or any hatchback. So SUV offers more features and convenience but a hefty price tag is attached to it
